Infrastructure Associate (Financial Industry)

Job Description

• Provide support on PC hardware and software, and business systems operations across difference business entities within the Company Group
• Perform networking system maintenance, including design, review, planning and monitoring activities.
• Provide 2nd level system support on business application systems and office systems.
• Work closely with the Service Desk team ensuring escalation addressed and resolutions to issues remediated across the IT teams
• Handle MACD with software and hardware requests and life-cycle management with application and system accounts for end users
• Assist in preparing test plans, user guides, training, and operation manuals related to hardware and software products.
• Participate in the implementation of IT infrastructure related projects
• Assist in designing the server and network infrastructure ensuring sustainability and scalability
• Assist in preparing and supporting the IT infrastructure set-up for BCP drill test.
• Assist in the compilation and update of policies and procedures related to IT infrastructure.
• Ensure the performance and reliability of the systems and network for the Company.
• Liaise with IT vendors, service providers in regular maintenance, software and hardware upgrade, trouble-shooting and price negotiation.
• Prepare and participate in end user training.
• Maintain and monitor the business applications systems and servers to ensure smooth operation.
• Monitor and plan for systems network resources.
• Responsible for enforcing baseline established for operation systems
• Monitor and control the necessary settings on the systems network.
• Monitor the personnel to access the Computer Room for necessary operation.
• Review the office systems and web site usage in the Company.
• Provide up-to-date progress report to the supervisor and communicate with other team members to keep abreast of the work progress.
• Strictly adhere to the Company policies, procedures and ethical requirements, ensure the operation of daily activities are ethically and legally complied.
• Support and participate in various ad hoc assignments or tasks.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or related disciplines
• 4 years Information Technology experience in Banking/Finance and/or Accounting industry with solid exposure in system operations and networking support
• Solid experience in software operating in Wintel platforms, Anti-Virus, Endpoint encryption, DLP and messaging
• Practical systems operations and user support experience based on ITIL or best practices
• Proficient with leveraging Service Desk ticketing systems and remote control tools
• Proficiency in network configuration set-up and support, especially Microsoft environment
• Up-to–date knowledge in Internet technology and information security
• Good interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation and communication skills
• Good command of English and Chinese (Putonghua is an advantage)
