Senior Business Analyst (Finance)

Job Description

• Establish partnership with key business stakeholders understanding evolving business needs and the ability to introduce and adopt new technologies to address the needs
• Participate in Project Implementation and various stages across System Development Life-Cycle aligning with business needs across ORIX Asia Limited Group
• Adoption of advance analytic techniques to discover insights to the business assisting business to make informed decisions while exploring new business opportunities
• Interfacing with business users and gathering business requirements and assist with translating it to technical specifications
• Working experience with a variety of Business Intelligence (BI) tools to represent data in a readily understood form by the business
• Working experience with establishing data warehouse through the ingestion and correlation with multiple data source of both structure and un-structured data
• Experience with data mapping and sanitization of data ensuring quality of data necessary to make accurate representation
• Strong working knowledge in building data cubes and models with data sets and sources establishing relationships
• Proficient experience with application development adopting SDLC, Agile, SCRUM or related methodology
• Working experience with facilitating Proof-of-Concepts (POC) and building proto-types to introduce new technologies to the business
• Conduct feasibility studies , develop business case and draft proposals for evaluation across multiple stakeholders
• Ability to work independently with external vendors in researching and adopting new technologies to meet evolving business needs
• Strong communication with the ability to communicate both vertically and horizontally as well as the ability to drive discussion ensuring precise requirements are understood prior to translating it to technical specifications
• Be responsible for operating and coaching tools and technologies ensuring adoption and utilization of these assets
• Strictly adhere to the Company policies, procedures and ethical requirements, ensure the operation of daily activities are ethically and legally complied.
• Support and participate in various ad hoc assignments or tasks.

Job Requirements

• Education and Professional Requirements
• Diploma in Information Technology or related disciplines
• Preferred: Technical certification in Prince2, PMP, SCRUM, Agile or related
• Experience Requirements - 5 years Information Technology experience in Banking/Finance and/or Accounting industry with solid exposure in application development, ecommerce platforms and business intelligence (BI)
• Hands–on experience with software development life-cycle adopting best practices and methodology not limited to SDLC, Agile, SCRUM, etc.
• Practical experience in implementing and supporting application systems for banking and finance industry desired
• Proficient leveraging tools not limited to Oracle Fusion Middleware, 11g R2 Forms & Reports, Crystal Reports, SQL programming, VBscript, PowerShell and Excel.
• Working experience with RDBS not limited to MySQL, SQL and Oracle.
• Experience with BI (Business Intelligence) tools such as Tableau, Qlik, etc.
• Experience with Data Mining and Data Warehousing.
• Working experience with systems development in Wintel and A|X/UNIX/LINUX environments.
• Solid understanding of IT architecture, integration and design
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good team player and ability to work across IT teams.
• Entrepreneur mindset and “results” driven and the ability to “look at the bigger picture”
• Good command of English and Chinese (Putonghua is an advantage).
